Diners at the Golden Corral buffet were treated to more than just endless rolls and fried chicken when a local family held their baby’s baptism in front of the restaurant’s dessert fountain.
Witnesses say the unusual ceremony drew a crowd of curious onlookers as the priest, dressed in full vestments, carefully dipped the child near the flowing chocolate. “It was definitely a first for us,” said one diner, who had been in line for the pot roast. “I just came here for dinner, and suddenly I’m at a baptism by the dessert bar.”
Golden Corral management has not announced yet commented on whether the chocolate fountain will remain in service following the event.
