Beaver Dam Completely Shuts Down Branson McDonald’s Drive-Through
Drivers in Branson were left stunned this week after a family of beavers built a massive dam across the lanes of a McDonald’s drive-through, blocking all access to the order board and pick-up window.

The wall of sticks and mud stretched the full width of the lane, rising nearly to the height of the restaurant windows. Customers lined up behind the barricade appeared frustrated as the beavers continued adding branches to their construction, seemingly unfazed by honking cars or confused employees leaning out the window.

Several locals joked on social media that the animals were “charging a toll” for burgers, while others worried the dam would hold back water pooling in the parking lot. The McDonald’s remained closed to drive-through traffic for hours while crews worked to dismantle the structure.

Witnesses say the beavers “looked proud” of their work and didn’t plan to leave quietly.
